CRAFT for Claude Cowork · Free Public Beta

It’s live — and I’d love your first impressions

CRAFT for Claude Cowork is now in free public beta. It’s free to download, there’s no login or paywall, and I built it solo — so honest feedback on your first few minutes is the most useful thing you can send me.

Update — July 2026: This post originally gave September 1, 2026 as the end of the Beta window. That date has changed.

The Beta has been extended: CRAFT for Claude Cowork is in free public beta through December 31, 2026. The honest, full story of why the date moved is here: A straight answer about the Beta deadline. Everything else in this post — free download, no login, no paywall, feedback reaching the builder directly — is unchanged.

What it is, in one breath

CRAFT is the everyday CRAFT experience for Claude in Cowork mode: Claude remembers your context across sessions, runs repeatable recipes, routes work to expert personas, and writes clean handoffs so nothing starts cold. It’s not an app — it’s a set of plain Markdown files you download and open. Nothing to install.

It’s free, and there’s no wall

CRAFT for Claude Cowork is in free public beta through December 31, 2026. No login, no paywall, no email gate — you download it and open it. Getting started is three steps:

1 · Download the release and unzip it.
2 · Open the folder in Claude Cowork.
3 · Say: “Initialize a CRAFT session.”

Get it: head to the CRAFT for Claude Cowork releases page on GitHub, open the latest release, and download the .zip. (Optional: the release also includes a SHA256SUMS file so you can verify your download.)

New to CRAFT? There’s a free Getting Started tutorial series here on the site that walks you through the whole thing, one small step at a time — and once you’re in, you can just say “turn on tutorial mode” and Claude will guide you through your first real session.

What I’m actually asking for

This is a beta, and the feedback that helps most isn’t a feature wishlist — it’s what the first ten minutes felt like. Especially if you’re new to CRAFT, I want to know:

  • What clicked? The moment, if there was one, where it made sense.
  • What confused you early? Anything you had to re-read, or couldn’t figure out how to ask for.
  • What was missing? The thing you reached for that wasn’t there.

Where to send it: just use the feedback path on the site — it reaches me directly. CRAFT for Claude Cowork is built by one person, so your note doesn’t disappear into a queue. What you tell me — what’s working, what’s confusing, what’s missing — feeds real decisions about what gets built next.

Being straight with you

A beta should be honest about what it is. So, plainly: this is early, and it’s the work of a single builder. The framework is free for everyone during the beta and stays free to download afterward. If you sign up, you’re recognized as a Founding Chef — but I’d rather not promise a list of specific perks I haven’t fully thought through yet. What I can say for certain today is that it’s free, your feedback reaches me directly, and it genuinely shapes what comes next.

That’s the whole ask: grab it free, try it in Claude Cowork, and tell me how the first few minutes went. Thank you for kicking the tires — it makes the next version better.
