CRAFT Terms and Conditions

CRAFT Terms of Service – At a glance

Welcome to CRAFTFramework.ai. Before the full legal terms below, here’s a plain-English summary of what you’re agreeing to. This summary is for convenience only — the complete Terms of Service below are the binding agreement.

CRAFT for Claude Cowork uses a dual licensing model. The CRAFT Language (our syntax and notation system) is licensed under the Business Source License 1.1 — you can use it for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes; commercial use requires a license (see CRAFT License for details). Our content — the recipes, cookbooks, personas, and documentation — is proprietary and provided through your CRAFT for Cowork membership. You’re welcome to use and adapt CRAFT recipes for your own AI work in Claude Cowork; please don’t redistribute them, resell them, or use them to build a competing platform.

Beta access is offered through paid and free membership tiers — see our membership materials for pricing and tier details. We may modify, limit, or discontinue Beta features at any time. We provide the Service “as is” without guarantees about AI outputs (since results depend on many factors beyond our control). If a dispute arises, we’ll try to resolve it informally first, and Minnesota law governs these terms. Questions? Reach us at support@craftframework.ai.

TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to CRAFTFramework.ai (the “Service”), operated by Ketelsen Digital Solutions LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using CRAFTFramework.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) and the Company. By creating an account, accessing recipes, using the community features, or otherwise interacting with the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. They contain important information about your legal rights, remedies, and obligations. By using the Service, you are agreeing to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Licensing terms.

2. Description of Service

CRAFTFramework.ai is the methodology layer for Claude Cowork — a framework that brings production-systems discipline to AI work in Claude Cowork through structured recipes, cookbooks, and personas. The Service includes:

  • Recipes: Structured workflows you run in Claude Cowork sessions, organized by category and difficulty level
  • Cookbooks: Collections of related recipes organized by topic or workflow
  • Personas: Specialized AI character configurations for use in Claude Cowork sessions
  • Documentation: Educational materials and guides for using CRAFT for Cowork
  • Community Features: Forums, discussions, and collaborative tools

3. User Accounts and Membership

3.1 Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Membership Tiers

The Service offers different membership tiers, which currently include:

  • Founding Chef: Beta participants who join during the initial launch period, receiving permanent recognition as founding members
  • Master Founding Chef: Earned through significant contributions to the platform and community
  • CRAFT Legend: Reserved for exceptional contributors who demonstrate extraordinary value to the community

Tier names, benefits, and pricing may evolve as the Service matures. We will provide notice of material changes to membership terms.

3.3 Beta Period

Beta access is offered through paid and free membership tiers. We may modify, limit, or discontinue Beta features at any time. Beta features may be incomplete, experimental, or subject to change. Pricing and tier details are described in our membership materials.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1 Ownership

All content on CRAFTFramework.ai, including but not limited to recipes, cookbooks, personas, documentation, tutorials, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to Ketelsen Digital Solutions LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

4.2 Dual Licensing Model

The CRAFT Framework uses a dual licensing model:

  • CRAFT Language (Syntax and Notation): Licensed under the Business Source License 1.1 (BSL). This includes the comment notation syntax (#H->AI::, #AI->H::, etc.), object/function/variable patterns, and the CFT-FWK-SPEC specification. Non-commercial use for research, educational, and experimental purposes is permitted. Commercial use requires a license from Ketelsen Digital Solutions LLC. On or after January 1, 2029, the CRAFT Language will be licensed under the Apache License 2.0.
  • CRAFT Framework Content: All recipes, cookbooks, personas, website content, and documentation are proprietary and All Rights Reserved. This content is licensed exclusively through membership access and may not be redistributed, resold, or used to create competing products, except for builds we make available as free public beta releases under Section 4.4.

4.3 Copyright Notice

Copyright 2025-2026 Ketelsen Digital Solutions LLC. All Rights Reserved. The CRAFT Framework, including all recipes, cookbooks, personas, and related content, is proprietary intellectual property.

4.4 Free Public Beta Releases

Notwithstanding Section 4.2, we may publish certain CRAFT for Claude Cowork builds as free public beta releases — for example, pre-release candidates made available through our public releases repository or the Downloads page. These releases are offered free of charge during the beta period, with no membership or payment required.

For any build we make available as a free public beta release, you may:

  • Download, install, and use it for your own personal or internal business AI projects, at no cost
  • Modify and adapt it for your own use
  • Share the results and outputs you create with it

The restrictions in Section 5.2 continue to apply. In particular, you may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or republish the released build itself, and you may not use it to build, operate, or contribute to a competing framework, recipe library, or similar platform.

Free public beta releases are provided “as is,” per Section 11, and are beta software that may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued at any time, per Section 3.3. Because no membership is required to receive a free public beta release, the membership-based termination in Section 6.2 does not apply to a build you have already downloaded — but the surviving restrictions (no redistribution, no resale, no competing products) continue to apply indefinitely.

These releases remain the intellectual property of Ketelsen Digital Solutions LLC, and “CRAFT” and “CRAFT Framework” remain its marks; making a build publicly available does not transfer ownership of the framework or its name. An individual release may include its own LICENSE file governing that release’s contents; where that file conflicts with this section, the release’s own LICENSE governs that download.

Free during beta. Future versions may introduce paid tiers or features. The no-cost terms that applied to a build at the time you received it continue to apply to that build — paid access is an additional tier, not a retroactive charge for what was provided free. All other provisions of these Terms (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) apply to your use of free public beta releases.

5. Permitted and Prohibited Uses

5.1 Permitted Uses

As an authorized user, you may:

  • Create derivative works based on the CRAFT Language syntax for non-commercial purposes (per BSL 1.1)

  • Circumvent Access Controls: Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security features, access restrictions, or membership requirements
  • Misrepresent Ownership: Claim authorship or ownership of CRAFT content, or present CRAFT materials as your original work

6. License Terms and Termination

6.1 License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service and its content for your authorized purposes during the term of your membership.

6.2 License Termination

IMPORTANT: Your license to access and use CRAFT content terminates automatically upon:

  • Expiration or cancellation of your membership
  • Termination of your account for any reason
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Discontinuation of the Service

Upon termination, you must immediately cease using all CRAFT content and delete any copies in your possession. The prohibition on redistribution, resale, and creating competing products survives termination indefinitely.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these standards or these Terms.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee any specific results from using CRAFT recipes or the Service.

CRAFT recipes are tools to enhance AI interactions. Results depend on many factors including the AI platform used, the specific prompts constructed, and user implementation. We make no guarantees about the quality, accuracy, or appropriateness of AI outputs generated using our recipes.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KETELSEN DIGITAL SOLUTIONS LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute resolution proceedings, you agree to first contact us at legal@craftframework.ai to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will endeavor to resolve disputes within thirty (30) days of receiving notice.

14.2 Binding Arbitration

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT.

If informal resolution is unsuccessful, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, or at another location mutually agreed upon. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding.

14.3 Class Action Waiver

YOU AND KETELSEN DIGITAL SOLUTIONS LLC AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.

14.4 Exceptions

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights. Additionally, claims may be brought in small claims court if they qualify.

14.5 Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising hereunder shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

15. Changes to Terms
